How To Increase One Single Crochet While crocheting, you need to change the number of the stitches in order to give your project the proper shape. This tutorial is about increasing the number of stitches. To increase one single crochet (sc) means to make two single crochet stitches in one stitch.  By this way you will have 2 stitches, instead of 1 stitch. For example, to increase a round of 12 stitches (sts) to 24 stitches (sts), you need to make 2 sc in every stitch of the round.
