Dear all,
If you are crocheting in rounds, magic ring (magic circle) is the first step to start a project.
In this tutorial I am going to show you how I crochet magic ring with single crochet stitches.
There are some different methods but I prefer to make "double" magic ring, because I think it is the most secure way to start a project.
In this tutorial you will also find how to make single crochet stitches into the magic ring.
Let's start crocheting :)
Abbreviation:
sc : single crochet

1. Loop the yarn over your finger 2 times.
3. Yarn over from back.
4. Pull the yarn through the loops.
(This is the slip knot, and not counted as a stitch.)
Now let's make 6 single crochet stitches into our magic ring.
(Number of single crochet stitches may change according to the pattern.)
6. Insert your hook into the magic ring.
7. Yarn over from back and pull the yarn through the magic ring.
Now you have 2 loops on your hook.
8. Yarn over from back again and pull the yarn through the both loops on your hook.
And here is your first single crochet. :)
9. Continue crocheting single crochet stitches and finish the first round.
Now we will pull the yarn and tighten our ring.
10. Notice that one of the yarn rings and the yarn tail are attached together. And the other yarn ring is next to them. We will work with the attached ring and the tail.
First pull the ring and you will see the other ring disappears.
Next pull the yarn tail and our magic ring is done :)
If you work in spiral rounds, you can continue crocheting the 2nd round.
If you work in joined rounds, you can join the round with a slip stitch.

I hope you enjoy crocheting with Lovely Lila Dolls. :)
